Clubs with the Most International Trophies Won
While no official list of soccer clubs ordered by international titles, tournaments, or cups won exists, a review of all the official tournaments (non-friendly) reveals that some teams stand at the very top of the soccer world. Throughout their rich histories, these clubs have dominated at an international level: Real Madrid with 32 tournaments won, Al-Ahly with 26, Barcelona with 20, Boca Juniors, Independiente and Milan with their 18 are a step above the rest.
Real Madrid (who had already shone with 5 consecutive Champions League titles between 1956 and 1960) added 17 trophies between 2014 and 2025 to climb to the top spot on this list. For their part, their great rival Barcelona, led by Lionel Messi, won 10 international titles between 2006 and 2015.
Also worth noting, Boca Juniors, which had only 7 international titles in 1999, added 11 trophies to their collection in a 9-year period between 2000 and 2008. Independiente, also from Argentina, had its golden era in the 4 years between 1972 and 1975 with 8 trophies. Italy's Milan did likewise between 1989 and 1994, also with 8 titles.
Most Winning Teams at International Level
Notes: Only titles recognized as official by FIFA or by continental Confederations are included. Friendly international tournaments or those organized by national Federations are not taken into account for this list. / Teams are ordered by number of tournaments won and then alphabetically.
