Comments

Despite the complaints presented by the Ssouth Americans, in 1938 the FIFA organized the soccer world cup in France, in an attempt to bring a bit of peace to a Europe on the verge of war.

In the final match, all France cheered for Hungary, with the hope that they could beat the fascist Italy. But the Italians became the first two-time champions with an outright win 4-2.
